Still glowing after SLUSH

Business Iceland, Iceland Innovation Week and the Embassy of Iceland in Helsinki led the delegation and organized two special Icelandic side-events. in relation to SLUSH 2023 in Helsinki.

Representatives of over 60 Icelandic start-ups and investors actively participated in the annual start-up and tech extravaganza SLUSH, which took place in Helsinki from Nov.30 to Dec. 1. Business Iceland, Iceland Innovation Week, and the Embassy of Iceland in Helsinki led the delegation and organized two special Icelandic events.

To break the ice, Ambassador Harald Aspelund and his wife, Ásthildur Björg Jónsdóttir, hosted a reception at the ambassador's residence on Nov. 29. Representatives of Icelandic start-up and technology companies, foreign investors, and many others interested in Icelandic innovation and technology attended the reception. 

On Thursday, Nov. 30, a unique networking event titled "Get to Glow Us!" was held at the Messukeskus Conference Hall, collaboratively hosted by Business Iceland, Iceland Innovation Week, and the Embassy. Guests entered an atmosphere inspired by the mesmerizing Northern Lights, with thematic lighting, snacks, and drinks. The primary aim of this event was to foster connections between Icelandic start-ups, technology companies, international investors, and other potential partners. This gathering was a vibrant platform for showcasing Iceland's innovative spirit and exploring new collaborative opportunities in the global arena.

The First Lady of Iceland, Eliza Reid, travelled with the delegation and was a guest of honour at both events.
